The Value of
Dialogue Project


Dialogue is
a process of communication in which mutual understanding evolves as a result of participants' commitment to appreciating the thoughts, feelings and values of others.

The Real Dialogue conferences through 2001 will explore
how schools and other organisations can integrate into their teaching and learning those processes - such as Circle Time, Philosophy for Children and Collaborative Groupwork - that enable young people to practise real dialogue.

The Edinburgh Conference is the Annual Conference of the Values Education
Council of the UK


All events start at 10.00 a.m. and finish at 4.00 p.m.

Conference participants will receive a pre-conference brochure, a
post-conference report, buffet lunch and other refreshments.

Those wishing to attend the Belfast conference should apply to the
RTU, Balmoral High School, Black's Rd, Belfast BT10 OHT.

There is a charge of £60 for the other five conferences.
