The Emotional Education Forum works for an education system that : 1. recognises feelings as an integral part of teaching and learning; 2. actively promotes the emotional well-being of teachers and learners; 3. provides opportunities for teachers and learners to develop understanding of their own feelings, and of their relationships to others. The forum aims to have the importance of emotional education recognised in all areas of education by : 1. Promoting emotional education in the professional development of teachers; 2. Presenting the case for emotional education to the public and to policy - makers; 3. Building networks of people and organisations involved in emotional education; 4. Disseminating information, examples of good practice and research; 5. Stimulating enquiry and debate. |
