The New Day is Born
As the sun rises slowly over yonder hill,
On the wakening world doth it's wonder spill
It casts it's glory for miles abroad,
As it lightens the paths that are yet to be trod.
I sit here on this front-porch swing
And in my heart a voice the day's praises doe's sing.
The crisp new wind wisps through my hair
With it taking from me all worry and care.
I see a sparrow lift his head to the sky
Spilling out wonder with his jubilant cry.
The trees dance along to the earth's own beat,
Whilst I sit and wonder at it's non-defeat.
Nothing compares to this beautiful morn,
All stands still....
