Christmas in Malaysia

page three of three

I decided to spend Christmas 2005 in Malaysia. I was staying in Kuala Lumpur with Eamonn. On this page are pictures of Langkawi Island, including the cable car, crocodile park and fish farm. On the second page are shots of the Batu Caves and the Bird Sanctuary. And on the first page are general shots around KL. Most of the pictures were taken by me but some were taken by Sarah.

Cable Car

The Langkawi cable car is pretty impressive both going up and the views from the top. There is also a Chinese village at its base.

The Crocodile Park

The crocodile park claims to be helping to preserve crocodiles though I wasn't convinced it was just a tourist attraction, especially as they sold crocodile skin goods to help keep the park going. They claimed that by buying them you were helping save crocodiles from becoming extinct.

And before you ask, this is NOT a real one.

Fish Farm

You had to cross a rather wobbly bridge to get to the fish farm, but they had some unusual varieties

The rest of the island
