Temple of the Town Gods

Like many Chinese towns, Shanghai has a Taoist Temple of the Town Gods:

Yuyuan Gardens

Apparently these gardens were created by the Pan family, a Ming dynasty, between 1559 and 1577, but had to be rebuilt after 1842 when they were ransacked during the Opium War.
